Annual Presentation Dinner....

The Annual Presentation Dinner was held at The Falcon Hotel, the first time since the refurbishments have been underway. We were pleased to not only welcome Ged and Anna McDougall as our guests of honour, but also host Robert and Carol Wills who own The Falcon and are great supporters of our club.

Charlie Scott hosted the presentations for the first season playing at castle Hill.

Boys will be boys.....

It's another round of heads and tails with Barty & Kev...

Charlie Scott managed to guide us through nearly 40 trophies and only managed to squeeze in a few "no doubt about that" statements!

The Under 15s and 17s picked up a number of trophies in the Border Counties Youth League and the Senior teams had a superb season which included our usual array of friendly fixtures plus league success. The 1st team retain Division1 status in the Rutland League and the 2nds finish brilliantly to take 3rd spot. The 3rd XI under Charles Richardson secured promotion and move into Division 6. The Northants Team comfortably won their league only losing once and the Burrough League team gained promotion. All in all a fantastic season with our junior cricketers blending well with the experienced players to enhance the level of cricket being played.

Recognition and thanks were shared by Charlie to all the volunteers who keep the club moving forward. Pop Cox received the Clubman Award for his work on the ground during our first season.

At the close of the presentations - Andrew Ashwin took the microphone to acknowledge the work of Charlie Scott in getting the club to where it is today. A standing ovation ensued and was very much deserved.

A good night was had by all.....
